Matt Keil - Iraq Veteran -
Matt and his lovely wife Tracy are actively involved in the Wounded Warrior Project and other advocacy and support efforts for injured soldiers returning from Iraq and elsewhere. Matt was shot by a sniper in Iraq on February 24, 2007. The bullet entered the right side of his neck, which severed his spine, clipped an artery and his left lung before exiting out of the left side of his back. Matt is a ~C4 quadriplegic, however has C5 movement in his left arm! Matt's CaringBridge webpage.
Matt and Tracy take our Comfort Carrier with them everywhere sharing it with others - whether flying to Florida or Craig Hospital, swimming in a pool on vacation, or trying out coaches while furniture shopping! "It worked GREAT...We love it!"

"I purchased a Comfort Carrier from Mark and it has almost eliminated in the extreme hassle of getting on and getting off aircraft! I still have to be carried and I still have to be put on that damn "crucifixion chair" but it has eliminated the "manhandling" and the "accidental dropping" totally! EVERYONE who uses a wheelchair needs to buy this product before you fly again! I am suggesting that all of my clients who fly to Freedom Shores buy one before they leave! It is also wonderful for getting in and out of kayaks here at Freedom Shores. It makes transitioning from the wheelchair to the kayak a simple process. Mark, congratulations on a great product!"

Before multiple sclerosis took the use of her hands and body, Shirley was not only a mother but a pianist, an organist, a college graduate with a medical transcription business.
 Living with multiple sclerosis for 21 years she has been a quadriplegic for the last 15 years. She also is an ARTIST thanks to the help and training from the Mouth and Foot Painting Artists. Shirley calls herself UNIQUELY-abled instead of disabled. |
