The long-term benefits of PowerCheq on a power wheelchair or scooter were established via extended lifecycle tests independently performed at Southern California Edison, a subsidiary of Edison International - Mr. Thomas Edison's (inventor of thelight bulb) company - experts in power distribution and management.

Repeated tests demonstrated 300% improvement in battery life, little to no degradation in battery capacity over life cycle, and up to a 25% increase in driving range compared to batteries without PowerCheq equalization.

Two battery packs were assembled with the same batteries commonly used in scooters. One was equipped with the PowerCheq, the second without.

Without PowerCheq

The cycle energy output drop below the 80% threshold [point at which batteries are typically replaced] after approximately 140 drive cycles. Battery capacity and driving range degraded from the beginning as expected.

With PowerCheq

The cycle energy output did not vary significantly throughout more than 436 drive cycles. Battery capacity and driving range degraded very little throughout more than 300 drive cycles.
