Shipping Policy

Broadened Horizons, Inc. works very hard to ensure complete customer satisfaction around the globe. If you have a problem with any product delivered or service rendered, please contact us and we will do our best to resolve it.

Broadened Horizons utilizes USPS Priority Mail unless otherwise requested by the customer. The United States Postal Service provides the most timely and cost-effective results in most cases. Most orders received by 12 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays are packaged that same day from inventory and are picked up by USPS the following morning. If there are any expected delays an estimated ship date will be provided whenever possible. As is customary with most businesses, all shipments are FOB Maple Grove, Minnesota, USA**.

Insurance: Most shipments are insured for replacement up to $500. USPS does not offer insurance over $500 except in special cases. If you require more than $500 insurance, please contact us for available options and cost.

International shipments go from USPS to your country's Customs, finally delivered by your local Postal Service. If your nation's Postal Service is not reliable, contact us and we can provide alternative options such as FedEx, UPS, or DHL though these providers typically are a bit more expensive. Transit times are estimates since shipments are sometimes delayed during processing in customs, though this is usually not for more than a few days. Customer is responsible for any import duties or taxes imposed by your country. In many countries such as Canada and the UK, disability solutions such as the Comfort Carrier are exempt from import duties and taxes And will be appropriately labeled whenever possible. If you are charged such fees, ask about possible exemption status as you may qualify for refund.

** FOB means "Freight on Board" or that possession transfers from Broadened Horizons, Inc. to you the customer when the package is accepted into shipment by the provider such as USPS. Very rarely are shipments damaged or go missing, but if you lack confidence in your nation's postal system, be sure to specify USPS Parcel Post Insured.
