February 16-23, 2013 I went on my first cruise with my Girlfriend and Parents. I had heard about the Oasis of the Seas about two years ago when its sister ship was launched and that they were the world's largest by over 30%, and of course the newest and consequently the most accessible/wheelchair friendly. So I figured it for going on a cruise, we might as well go on the world's biggest! That also means you can roll right off the ship onto the pier without having to deal with smaller tender boats at smaller ports, whereas otherwise wheelchair users are sometimes forced to stay on the ship, especially days with rougher seas.  (PS: if you are flying to your cruise or if you find yourself going on one of these cruises we must use a tender to go ashore, be sure to take along a Comfort Carrier!)
