Flying - Aviation
Able Flight is a phenomenal nonprofit organization operated by Charles Stites that has come along way in the past few years since its inception! They offer flight training scholarships for disabled pilots, or return-to-flight sport pilot scholarships for pilots who have later become disabled or physically limited. They have trained more than 30 pilots in the past few years and are partnering with organizations such as Purdue University's Aviation Technology Program. Broadened Horizons and Able Flight are committed to working together to try to expand access to flight through assistive technology controls and simple modifications for mid-level quadriplegic pilots with arm movement but limited hand dexterity.
